Great Experience!
I didn't have time to post earlier, so I took the time between my sessions to quickly blog about my experiences in Model UN and Chicago. We got here on Friday. Friday was the day when we had time to explore the city. Chicago is so different from Columbia. We spent two days running around the city.Everybody was running around and taking pictures. We went to Millennium Park and Sears Tower (Willis Tower now). The documentary how the building was built was fascinating and all of us got chance to step out in the glass box that is built on the side of the building and got the experience that never had before. On Saturday our sessions started at 5:00p.m therefore we had the whole afternoon off. Once the sessions started, I was little confused. It took me a while to get used to rules and all the role-playing. After first caucusing, I was set and ready to go to pass a resolution. Today is Sunday and is the longest day in conference. We have sessions from 8:30a.m till 10:00p.m. All delegates are so focused and trying to bring up resolutions to table for debate. So far the experience is great! I'm loving Chicago and the Model UN!
